I apologize in advance for posting this in the PL forum, I wasn’t sure whether to put it in here on in General so I just flipped a coin in my head (I can do that) and decided on here.

I was in a band before I moved to New Zealand with my two best friends, it went pretty well and we played like, 3 shows =/ all were good though.

Now that I’m in New Zealand I’m looking to get in a band, and the only problem is, I don’t know if I’m actually good enough. I mean, the music scene over here is pretty big so there’s a lot of talent.

I mean I was just wondering what your thoughts were on how much talent is required to be in an indie band (the only opportunity I’ve got so far is a tryout for an indie band, as they call themselves.)

I can play pretty much anything by Say Anything, seeing as they’re one of the very few bands I listen to, so I’m just wondering what you guys think?

I know this is a pretty fail thread, but I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. I understand if it’s sinked/locked/whatever.
